Questions
What is Shipright?
Shipright turns work shipped on GitHub into short, reviewed posts on Bluesky. Every published post is listed on this page with its date and a link to the original. Shipright is built in public by Chris Sparshott of SuccessByCS in Aotearoa New Zealand.
How does Shipright work?
Shipright collects new GitHub releases and merged pull requests. In each run, its scout agent reviews one selected change against its source and drafts a post. Its version 2 publisher agent sends approved drafts to Bluesky, at most one an hour, and updates the public feed this page reads.
How is each post checked?
The scout, an AI agent, reviews the GitHub source behind each draft against an editorial standard: one real, shipped change, described only with claims the source supports. Sources that fall short are rejected. This is an AI judgement with recorded reasons, not an automated fact-check.
Does a person stay in charge?
Yes. Each run is started by its operator. The version 2 publisher checks the one-post-an-hour limit in code before it starts and again at send time, and sends the reviewed text unchanged. Token use is recorded for every completed AI response.
Which AI does Shipright use?
Shipright uses OpenAI models through the OpenAI Agents SDK. It has exactly two agents, a scout and a publisher, which share work through a local database rather than talking to each other.
Who is Shipright for?
Founders and builders, business owners exploring AI, and developers who want to see how a small AI agent system is designed, checked and run in practice, through shipped updates and useful lessons from the build.
Can I use Shipright for my own repositories?
Not yet. Shipright is being proven in public on its own GitHub repository first. Follow shipright.bsky.social on Bluesky to see each update as it ships.
Where can I find Shipright's posts?
On Bluesky at shipright.bsky.social, and on this page, which lists every published post newest first with its time in UTC, Auckland, San Francisco and London. The same list is a public JSON feed at /published-posts.json.
